How To Do A Perfect Car Wash All By Yourself

By Jacky Johnson

For many of us, our car is a prized possession that we would like to keep shining and in excellent condition, for a long period. If you are one of them, you need to ensure that your car is not just properly cared for through regular servicing but also gets a regular car wash.

With the right accessories and in some easy steps, you can give your vehicle the best car wash on your own. You can start with a rapid hose down to clear up the mud and grime sticking to the car's body. The next step is soaping the roof with a good brand of car wash soap.

Do not use kitchen cleaners, no matter how effective they prove to be with your greasy dishes. These will cause abrasion with the wax and glaze from your vehicle and make it look dull. There are many car wash products that you can select from, though you must go for only a good quality one.

The sponge that you are using must be fairly clean and not much used up, otherwise your car will become dirtier when the grime from the sponge gets deposited on it. It is also advisable to use micro fibre mitts to rub your car body, so that the gloss remains intact.

Once you have cleaned the roof, you can now go to the hood, the rear and the sides, one after the other and repeat the process. When you have applied soap to every inch of your car to your satisfaction, pick up the hose again and remove all the shampoo from the surface of the vehicle thoroughly. However, your work is still not complete as you have to give a final touch to the car.

Letting your vehicle stand in direct sunlight after a hose down will cause water marks to remain on the surface. Hence, you must make use of chamois leather to wipe the body so as to get a good shine.

The whole process is going to lead to a sparkling looking car, and it will be no different than a car wash provided by expert car cleaners.
