How To Make That Surround 3D Sound In Your Own Home

By Chester Wallace

A while back, when you thought about surround sound you pictured a person sitting in a living room with a remote controller. Lately even cars have surround systems. The whole aim of having surround sound is so that you can have a 3D feel when you are listening to something. It needs a lot of patience to have it in your car but it is worth it after all.

It will require you to make some advance arrangements, having in mind details like where exactly you need your speakers and subwoofers placed. Have them at a decent distance from your passengers such that they are not irritating or inaudible.

For the best quality, have a total of four speakers, each placed at a level higher than the ear level. That is where the sound quality will come out clearest. The level of sounds reached are in that sense, high quality.

That caliber of speakers needs more power than usual. This means that you will have to buy an amplifier to boost the power that is being channeled to your speaker.

A center speaker might come in handy some times. The center speaker is meant to be mounted on your dashboard. It could be accompanied with a tweeter (loudspeaker that brings out the higher frequency sounds). To differentiate between the bass sounds and the higher frequencies (tweeters) you will need a crossover.

When it is time to make the purchase, have everything come with a good-quality surround sound processor. Note that a digital signal coming from your surround system will need to be matched with a digital signal compatible processor.

If you have a stereo that is not the digital kind, then have a processor that is capable of transforming surround sound from analogue to digital format.

You can now have surround 3D sound in your wheels. Driving around with 3D sound in your car is the experience you have always wanted.
