Increase Business Awareness With Leaflet Holders

By Phil Algar

The customer who walks out the door with your brochures in hand knows the route back, so Leaflet Holders so should dispense prime information about the business or service. The customer buys from the businesses they know. That paperwork on their table says hello over and over.

Signage outside the building identifies the business for a walk-by or returning individual. Once inside the staff offer the first greeting, followed by product presentation and matching brochures. Tourists at the Chamber of Commerce find promotions of activities and events on wall or rotating racks. Hardware or lighting stores have detailed information in boxes, on counters, in small wooden carousels. At the bank shiny paper promotions are stacked and shelved, for client purposes about services and those possibilities of dream making if they can have your cash.

A university distributing catalogs of its courses, or a service and/or product sold by a business, or even a local church wanting to announce its services all have needs for the suitable displays. Sales come after promotion. Accurate measurement of various promotions is difficult but preferable to calculating losses.

The materials of display racks allow for excellent choice range. Starting with basic cardboard there's also wire chrome of different colors, glass and even mirrors, and plastic or acrylic which can be injected molded. All of these types have variations of wall mounting, free standing, counter mounting, or rotating stands.

The lower budget cardboard choice can offer advantages. For a lesser expense than acrylic, the stand can be custom shaped including color and logo to increase customer recognition. The casing itself advertises, assuming proper design, even if empty.

Cardboard shipping fees will be lower, seasonal storage is more efficient, and are simple to move to alternate display areas. However, the life of cardboard is considerably shorter; many hands retrieving brochures will leave behind curly corners, which don't reflect well on the business. The benefit of light weight has also the factor of instability knocking the information across the counter or onto the floor in a less than professional style.

Wall mounted dispensers need walls. Yes, quite obvious, the question is whether there are walls that the customer can see, or whether those walls are in easily accessible locations. The holders can be purchased with compartments that will fit a standard page size, a half page, tri-fold design or a credit card slot. But, effective advertising has to be seen. Portable peg board can be a solution.

A customer standing at a rotating stand will look at brochures or items within eye level. Best product line or newest "hot stuff" paperwork should occupy those locations. Large stands are best used by a vendor with a greater variety of product or information. Too much repetition is mildly aggravating to customers and tends to reduce the time spent at the rack.

Dispensers need to be kept full. Empty spaces say to those who'd like to buy: "What was there that's all gone?" or "Gee they don't have much stuff." or "Well they don't take care of their own business much why would they care about mine?"

The next sound is the customer and wallet going out the door along with the money spent on advertising. Or, another scenario, the purchaser comes back."I was looking through your Leaflet Holder last week and found this information, can I order a dozen of these?"
